The Big Day

I sure don't envy voters in the big cities today. I'm hearing all these reports of long lines and hours-long waits to vote, and I thought I might face a little delay this morning. Never fear. Out in Hopewell Township, there are no such problems. I walked right in and cast my ballot. On Election Day, it's a good thing to live in a place where the cows easily outnumber the people. And the baked goods they had for sale: Mmmmm. Just for the record, I voted for three Republicans and three Democrats. Fair and balanced. That's me.

No problems at my polling place. I live sort of in the country too and no one was even there when I went to vote.

No problems for me in Pittsburgh's South Hills. However, the person who voted two in front of me forgot to confirm his vote and apparently split before any of the poll workers could find him. This despite very specific instructions from the poll workers on how to use the machine and very specific screens on the machine itself. How simple do we need to make voting before someone can't screw it up?
