Election, Part 1

The shouting is just about over. We've had plenty of time to consider the two candidates for president and their running mates. It's time to put aside the ridiculous attacks and claims against both men and consider what they really stand for. Who is the best person to lead the country through its challenges over the next four years? That's the bottom line, and that's why we all should go out and cast our ballots. Do your duty as a citizen. And if you don't vote, don't bitch.

Even if you do vote, don't bitch... The winner of this election, as with all of our other elections, will be OUR president... Right now, George Bush is MY president. Barack Obama is MY candidate... if McCain wins, he will be MY president. On November 5th, (or Jan 29 or whatever you want to call the first day) our next president should have a 100% favorable rating... even if he gets only 270 electoral votes.

Oops, I had meant Jan 19 (which would be bush's LAST day) but I mis-typed 29.

So I guess that many of the despicable things said about Bush in the past eight years have been perfectly fine?
I certainly haven't agreed with everything Bush has done in eight years, but he has certainly been ridiculed and chopped down by the Dems without remorse.
Some of it has been his own doing. But there is definitely a certain segment of the opposition party that would claim Bush was responsible for earthquakes, hurricanes, the crash of the dollar and anything else they think they can pin on him.

Blaming Iraq on Bush is all the blaming I need to do.
