Might as well face it, he's addicted to love (making)

If published reports are accurate, Tiger Woods, who was last seen thrashing about on the lawn of his Florida mansion last Thanksgiving under very sketchy circumstances, has checked himself into a private clinic for treatment of sex addiction. The reports aren't very clear on where the clinic is located. One report says Arizona, another South Africa. I guess this is Tiger's way of claiming that it wasn't his fault he ditched his trousers with the frequency of a porn actor. He had a sickness, don't you know, just like all those other celebrities who suddenly find a need for rehabilitation to get off booze or pills after they run their Hummer into a house or open up a can of whoop-ass on their significant other. People magazine, which claims Tiger is in an Arizona facility called The Meadows (I don't think Delvin Miller was involved with this one), cites a source who says the golfer “should be out by Valentine’s Day or thereabouts.” Yep, Valentine's Day. You can't make this stuff up.

People like you make me sick. This is Mr.Tiger Woods pvt life. Tiger woods doesn't come up to the OR office and throw rocks at you while you type up the sr activity list nor does he pee on your leg while you ignore Deweese, the failure of Obama and the Chicago Gang. You should be loud and proud about the truth. Yet you write about a nobody. A person that could never change your life.
Timmy Geithner doesn't pay his taxes then bails out his own bank. You can't make this stuff up!

Mr. Tiger Woods, as you call him, has chosen to be a public figure. Otherwise, I wouldn't have seen him hawking everything from cars to razors every 15 minutes on TV. We've had plenty of stories about DeWeese. I also think it's a bit early to categorize Obama as a failure. Are there any particular significant areas where you think he has irretrievably failed? Finally, are you talking about the Chicago Seven? That was a long time ago. Geithner had tax problems, but the bank bailout was the baby of Bush and Paulson. You DO make stuff up. And you're REALLY angry.

Tiger is only doing what his people are telling him to do to try and restore his image as much as possible. It's standard damage control even as GM is refusing to renew his endorsement deal.

So here's how it will happen: Tiger checks into a sex rehab clinic. Next, he'll have spoken to Jesse Jackson or Al Sharpton and they (not he) will declare that Mr. Woods is a contrite, changed man. Next comes a large charitable donation to an organization that is in some way related to sexual crises. Soon, he'll be golfing again, and a few impressive wins later, he's back on top. Ooops...poor choice of words. I should have said that all will be forgiven.

Anonymous, Tiger gave up his right to be exempt from public scrutiny just prior to becoming the most recognizable billionaire product-hawking athlete on earth. He certainly didn't shy away from public attention before he got caught poking a porn star.

Sex addiction is a real disease. It's got doctors and everything. It's a true curse.

It's encouraging that he has taken the initiative to seek treatment. yes, Tiger was a celebrity and should've known better. But he's no different than any other human, male or female, who has had affairs. It happens. That he's rich and famous makes him neither better nor worse than anyone else. Our mistake is in continuing to make celebrities role models.

I mentioned in my first post that one of the steps for Tiger is a charitable donation. I said it would be to an organization related to sexual crises. Well, I was a tiny bit off on the destination of the donation, but today there are reports that Tiger will donate three million dollars for relief in Haiti.

All we need now is the statement from Sharpton or Jackson...then it's off to the links for Tiger!

Brant, anyone that is famous has made that choice. Does it mean you get to go to their home and swim? Cause Leno is famous I don't think he will let me hitch a ride with him to work, but cause he is famous doesn't mean we get to force his hand on it. Cause you are a famous person doesn't mean you don't get to enjoy a private life behind closed doors. I just don't get it, JFK had lots of women friends and everyone in the press knew it, the difference between then and now? People minded their own business back then!

It was a shameful act then and now. Difference? The public is desensitised to trash. Instead of all his fans not supporting him and putting shame on him and teaching our kids that he is filth. We will say he is sick and he can get better without ever hitting rock bottom.

I think $3 million won't buy him out of the bad pub, but it does say a hell of a lot more about him than do those affairs.
